The Academy is a three month scheme that provides intensive coaching along with regular get-togethers, supervised access to the golf course with our PGA Professionals at Cherry Lodge. Alongside the lessons will be mentoring from members to provide extra golf on the course with the relaxed atmosphere of the clubhouse inevitably beckoning afterwards.

Cherry Lodge Junior Academy
Our Junior Academy at Cherry Lodge is designed as a pathway to junior membership. It involves sports skills, life skills and fun games to keep the children engaged. Playing golf is an important part of our academy so lots of time will be spent on the golf course.
Our levels...
LEVEL 1 - Juniors who are just beginning or taking up golf for the first time. These pupils will come for weekly lessons to learn the various techniques for each part of the game. This will take place on Sunday mornings from 9am-10am Ages 6 and over with each lesson lasting 1 hour containing plenty of games, skills challenges and simulated golf course play.
LEVEL 2 - Juniors who have accumulated some experience and knowledge of basic rules and etiquette. They will come for lessons both at the practice facilities and supervised time on the golf course. This takes place on Sunday mornings from 10am-11am and lasts one hour.
LEVEL 3 - These juniors have plenty of course experience under their belts and can be responsible to play unsupervised on the golf course. These are our prospective junior members working to obtain a junior handicap. Lessons will take place on SUNDAY AFTERNOONS at 1pm-2.30 pm and have an hour and a half of supervised coaching on the course with goals of lowering handicaps in this 6 week stretch of tuition
